Klee taught at the Bauhaus in Weimar and later in Dessau, among other places. His work Senecio (Baldgreis) from 1922 shows influences from African mask and puppet culture in its composition. The Bauhaus formal language, consisting of square, triangle and circle, also influenced Klee in this
